MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN HAVING ISSUES WHERE IT WILL TAKE EXTRA TIME TO GET IT STARTED UP. WHEN I FINALLY DO GET IT STARTED, WARNING LIGHTS FLASH SAYING POWER STEERING SYSTEM, THE ANTITHEFT STAYS ON, AS WELL AS THE ENGINE MANAGEMENT LIGHT. I JUST HAD MY CAR SERVICED NOT TOO LONG AGO FOR A COOLANT LEAK ON THE ENGINE HOSE. I HAVE ALWAYS KEPT UP WITH OIL CHANGES AS WELL AS ALL OTHER FLUID LEVELS CHECKED REGULARLY. I FIRST BEGAN THINKING IT WAS THE BATTERY, HOWEVER I HAVE HAD THE BATTERY TESTED AND IT IS STILL BASICALLY NEW.

MY VEHICLE FOR THE LAST YEAR HAS BEEN HAVING SOME ENGINE ISSUES WHERE IT WILL LOCK UP ON ME I CAN'T GET MY KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION AND ALL THE LIGHTS WILL START GOING OFF SAYING IT NEEDS SERVICE AND THEN IT WILL STOP AND GO BACK TO THE REGULAR ODOMETER. I'VE KEPT UP WITH MY OIL CHANGES I'VE KEPT UP WITH ANY SERVICE THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE ON MY VEHICLE BUT TODAY MY ENGINE COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN WHEN I STARTED TO RUN MY AIR CONDITIONING. USUALLY I CAN GET UNDER THE HOOD AND WIGGLE SOME WIRES AND THEN THINGS WILL GO BACK TO THE WAY THAT IT WAS BUT LATELY MY CAR HAS BEEN SHUTTING OFF ON ME WHILE I'M DRIVING AND I HAD A SERVICE APPOINTMENT FOR NEXT WEEK TO GO AND SEE A PROFESSIONAL TO GET UNDER THE HOOD TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON I FIGURED IT WAS PROBABLY JUST ANOTHER OIL CHANGE IT IS ABOUT THAT TIME, BUT I WAS ON MY WAY TO A FRIEND'S WEDDING AND I HAD TO STOP AND WHEN I STOP MY CAR DID NOT CUT BACK ON I POP THE HOOD AND WIGGLED SOME WIRES LIKE I USUALLY DO BUT THERE WAS NO ACTIVITY WHATSOEVER UNDERNEATH THE HOOD. I STARTED THINKING TO MYSELF MAYBE I SHOULD PUT SOME OIL IN IT BUT I DON'T WANT TO RUIN MY ENGINE AND I STARTED THINKING MAYBE I NEED SOME ANTIFREEZE BUT AGAIN AND I'M NOT A MECHANIC SO I DON'T WANT TO ASSUME AND THEN DO SOMETHING TO MAKE THINGS A LOT WORSE BUT TODAY MY ENGINE COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN ON ME AND I HAD TO WAIT IN THE HEAT FOR OVER AN HOUR TO GET A JUMP.

MILE ON CAR 71,000 USED AS A PERSONAL CAR AND LAST 1 1/2 AS A LYFT CAR AND A PVT OFFICE WHEN I HAD TO WORK AS A SECURITY GURD AND HAD TO REMAIN IN CAR IN OPEN LOT IN MIDDLE OF WINTER STORM WITH NO HEAT ( 36 HR ON WITH A 100 MILE BACK AND FORTH TRIP TO SITE FOR A WEEKEND )

ALL OF A SUDDEN MY RADIO WILL GO ON AND OFF AND THE AIR CONDITIONER AND THE HEATER WILL STOP WORKING. I HAVE 5 CHILDREN AND 3 STILL AT HOME AND I'M AFRAID TO DRIVE MY CAR BUT UNFORTUNATELY IT'S ALL WE HAVE.

THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE HEAD, FRACTURED RIBS ON THE LEFT SIDE, AND INJURIES TO THE LEFT LEG AND ARM. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS REQUIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A RECOVERY COMPANY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE WAS CONSIDERED A TOTAL LOSS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35,000.

I'D LOVE TO SEE SOMEONE FROM CORPORATE ATTEMPT TO TAKE THEIR FAMILY WHO IS RECENTLY PARALYZED & A 13 YR OLD WHOSE HAD 4 OPEN HEART SURGERIES TRY TO PEDAL OFF THE FREEWAY BC IT SHUT OFF & ON WHILE OVERHEATING & TRYING TO PRY THE KEY OUT THE IGNITIIN. I'VE TOWED IT TO AND FROM THE DEALERSHIP TO SPEND MONEY I PRACTICALLY COUNTED IN CHANGE BECAUSE I LOST MY JOB DUE TO NO DEPENDABLE RIDE. STILL PAYING NOTES ON A CAR & MECHANIC FEES HAS TRULY SHOWN ME HOW SELFISH & GREEDY SOME CAN BE. I'M PASSED TO THE NEXT PERSON WHO KEEPS ME ON HOLD TO INFORM ME OF HOW TRULY SORRY THEY ARE THAT THEY CAN'T HELP. SINCE OWNING MY NEW 2015 CRUZE I HAVE HAD SEVERAL CONCERNS WHICH HAVE NOT BEEN ADDRESSED OF FIXED BY THE TECHNICIANS THE LIST IS: WHILE TRAVELING DOWN THE ROAD MY RADIO SYSTEM HAS BLACKED OUT; SHUT OFF AND RESTARTED ITSELF; IT HAPPENS EVERY OTHER TIME I AM IN THE CAR, SOMETIME IT HAPPENS SEVERAL TIME ON A LONG DRIVE. I HAVE ALSO EXPERIENCE DRIFTING OF THE CAR WHEN TRAVELING DOWN THE HIGHWAY; WHEN I CORRECT THE DRIFT THE STEERING WHEEL IS STIFF AND CAUSES AN OVER CORRECTION PULLING ME THE OTHER DIRECTION. THE BIGGEST CONCERN I HAVE EXPERIENCE LATELY IS THE LOUD HIGH PITCHED NOISE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD; THIS OCCURS AFTER I HAVE PARKED THE CAR AND REMOVED THE KEY; ONE TIME I COULD HEAR THE COOLANT LINES GURGLING. VERY SCARY NOT KNOWING WHAT IS GOING ON UNDER THERE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO BE SERVICED UNDER A SAFETY RECALL RELATED TO THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE WATER PUMP WAS LEAKING AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE TECHNICIAN ALSO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE WATER PUMP HOUSING WAS CRACKED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED. WHEN THE HEATER WAS ACTIVATED, AN ODOR OF ANTIFREEZE AND FUEL EMITTED INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,000.

I BOUGHT MY 2013 CRUZE LTZ ABOUT THREE MONTHS AGO AND I WAS SURE THAT IT WAS THE PERFECT CAR, NOW, I'M FULLY AWARE THAT I WAS WRONG.. I GOT IN MY CAR TO LEAVE FOR WORK ON AUGUST 1, 2014 AND WHEN I STARTED MY CAR, THE ON DASH MAINTENANCE REMINDERS ALL WENT CRAZY TELLING ME TO "SERVICE POWER STEERING" AND "SERVICE STABILITRAK".. I KNEW THIS COULDN'T BE RIGHT SO I TURNED OFF THE ENGINE AND RESTARTED THE CAR, THE SCREEN WENT CRAZY AGAIN WITH THE SERVICE NOTIFICATIONS. I DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT BEFORE WORK SO I WENT AHEAD WITH MY DAY, I GOT ALL THE WAY TO THE INTERSTATE (WHICH IS ABOUT A MILE AND A HALF FROM MY DRIVEWAY) AND NOTICED THE STEERING WAS GETTING STIFF SO I PULLED OVER AND RESTARTED THE CAR AGAIN AND THE LIGHTS DIDN'T COME BACK ON SO I, AGAIN, WENT ON ABOUT MY DAY... ISSUE NUMBER TWO-- ABOUT THREE DAYS LATER, AND EVERY DAY SINCE, MY ON DASH TOUCH SCREEN GOES COMPLETELY BLACK, WHICH WOULDN'T BOTHER ME SO BAD IF IT DIDN'T MAKE ALL OF THE "SERVICE" LIGHTS COME BACK ON. I DON'T "NEED" A TOUCH SCREEN BUT IT WOULD BE REALLY NICE IF I DIDN'T FEEL LIKE I WAS DRIVING A TICKING TIME BOMB EVERY DAY SINCE THE VEHICLE CLEARLY HAS WIRING ISSUES. NOW, IF I TOUCH THE BRAKES OR ROLL DOWN A WINDOW, THE SCREEN GOES COMPLETELY BLACK, THE DASH LIGHTING FLICKERS AND THE SERVICE LIGHTS COME ON. I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FORUMS FOR ALMOST A MONTH AND IT SEEMS THAT NUMEROUS PEOPLE ARE HAVING THESE ISSUES, NOT ONLY MYSELF. I'M SO DISAPPOINTED WITH MY PURCHASE, ITS ALMOST UNREAL.. THE PERFECT CAR, IN THE PERFECT COLOR WITH MORE RECALLS (AND OTHER ISSUES THAT HAVEN'T BEEN RECALLED) THAN I EVEN KNOW HOW TO DEAL WITH IT. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY A CHEVROLET VEHICLE. IN APRIL OF 2013 MY 2013 CHEVY CRUZE SHUT OFF WHILE ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE OFF FROM A RED LIGHT THAT JUST TURNED GREEN, AS SOON AS I STEPPED ON THE GAS PEDAL THE CAR JUST SHUT OFF. THERE WERE NO OTHER VEHICLES BEHIND ME SO I IMMEDIATELY TRIED TURNING THE CAR ON BUT I HAD TO PUT IT PARK THEN START IT AGAIN AND CONTINUED EN ROUTE AND DID NOT THINK ANYTHING OF IT. THIS HAPPENED TWICE WITHIN THE NEXT FEW MONTHS. THE FOURTH INCIDENT I HAD A CAR FULL OF FAMILY MEMBER AND WE WERE GETTING ON THE FREEWAY ON RAMP SLOWING TO COME TO A STOP WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN SO AS SOON AS I STEPPED ON THE GAS PEDAL THE CAR SHUT DOWN AND I HAD NO CONTROL AND WAS ALMOST HIT FROM BEHIND LUCKILY THERE WAS NO CAR IN THE LANE OVER SO THE TRUCK BEHIND ME SWERVED INTO THE NEXT LANE AND I ONCE AGAIN PUT THE CAR IN PARK STARTED AGAIN AND IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND TOOK THE VEHICLE INTO THE DEALERSHIP. I WAS TOLD BY THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT A FEW WEEKS LATER THAT THEY FIGURED THE PROBLEM WAS A LOW OCTANE GAS AND I JUST NEEDED TO START USING CHEVRON ONLY AND THEY WOULD GIVE ME $250 IN CHEVRON GAS CARDS. I REFUSED TO PICK UP THE CAR BECAUSE I ALREADY ONLY USED CHEVRON GAS IN THE VEHICLE SINCE I PURCHASED IT IN DECEMBER 2012 WITH ONLY 3 MILES. AFTER 2 MONTHS OF ARGUING BACK IN FORTH ABOUT THEM NOT HAVING A FIX FOR THE CAR I RETURNED THE RENTAL AND PURCHASED A DIFFERENT VEHICLE ELSEWHERE AND FILED A COMPLAINT WITH GM WHICH ALSO GAVE ME THE RUN AROUND ABOUT THE VEHICLE BEING FIXED WHEN IT WASN'T EVER WORKED ON TO THIS DAY THEY HAVE THE CAR AND I AM NOW IN COLLECTIONS AND CONTINUING THIS HEADACHE WITH GM. THEY SAID ITS NOT A RECALL BUT I HAVE SPOKEN TO SEVERAL OTHER PEOPLE INCLUDING THE RENTAL COMPANY THAT HAS HAD THE CHEVY CRUZE SHUT OFF ON THEM AS WELL. *TR
