SLOWED DOWN TO PULL INTO PARKING SPOT AND SUDDENLY CAR PICKED UP SPEED AND CRASH THROUGH A VACANT STORE FRONT. CAR STOPPED AFTER HITTING A WALL AND MOVED WHAT EVER WAS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WALL. AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY DRIVER OF CAR WAS SHAKEN UP BUT NO PHYSICAL INJURIES. CAR DAMAGED TOWED TO JUNK YARD AND INSURER TOTALED VEHICLE.

ON 9/26/2017 AT 3:55 P.M. I WAS INVOLVED IN A SINGLE CAR ROLLOVER ACCIDENT. I WAS TRAVELING ON HWY 97 IN CALIFORNIA AT APPROXIMATELY 55-60 MPH. NO MORE THAN 10 MILES OUTSIDE THE CITY OF WEED. I HIT SOMETHING IN THE ROAD OR BLEW A TIRE. THE CAR FIRST WENT LEFT AND THEN RIGHT. THE BREAKS FELT AS THOUGH THEY LOCKED. WHEN THE CAR HIT AN ASPHALT CURB IT WENT AIRBORNE (THERE WERE NO GUARD RAILS) AND WENT INTO A SMALL EMBANKMENT. THE VEHICLE ROLLED BUT LANDED UPRIGHT. NONE OF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. I ALSO BELIEVE THE SEATBELT DID NOT LOCK AS IT IS SUPPOSED TO WHEN A CRASH OCCURS. I SAY THAT BECAUSE THE RIGHT SIDE MY HEAD HIT THE ROOF OF THE VEHICLE AND I RECEIVED A LARGE HEMATOMA. INITIALLY I THOUGHT IT WAS BECAUSE THE ROOF HAD CAVED IN. WHEN I SAW THE VEHICLE THE NEXT DAY IT WAS THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROOF THAT HAD CAVED IN. WHAT ALSO MAKES ME BELIEVE THERE IS A SEATBELT ISSUE IS I WAS INVOLVED IN A ROLLOVER IN 1985 AND DID NOT SUFFER ANY HEAD INJURIES AS THE SEAT BELT KEPT ME TIGHTLY IN THE SEAT.

THE CONTACT RECEIVED SHOULDER AND BACK INJURIES, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BALL BEARINGS ON THE FRONT AXLE WERE WORN OUT. THE TIE RODS WERE REPLACED, BUT THE CALIPERS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED ALSO. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE BODY OF THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ESC AND ABS SENSORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIRES AND BRAKE PADS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.

SINCE I BOUGHT MY 2008 HYUNDAI SANTA FE AND PULLED IT OFF THE LOT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG DOES NOT REGISTER ME. I AM 5'3" 105 LBS. RARELY DOES IT EVER WORK AND IF IT DOES ITS ONLY FOR A MINUTE. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY STATE THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT. LADY STATED SHE HAS HEARD COMPLAINT NUMEROUS TIME AND HYUNDAI WONT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THEY TELL YOU TO RESTART THE CAR AND SIT WITH PERFECT POSTURE. THIS STILL DOES NOT WORK AND EVEN IF IT DOES MOVE AN INCH AND IT TURNS BACK OFF. I FEEL VERY UNSAFE IN THE PASSENGER SIDE AND I HAVE READ NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS FROM OTHER CONSUMERS. ITS LIKE HYUNDAI IS WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO DIE BEFORE THEY DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT! *TR
