MY VEHICLE BEING TRACK BY LAW ENFORCEMENT-MAPPING AND STOP AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK UNDER DIFFERENT VECHILE CODES EBD,EPS,TRAC AND RADIO WAVES BY TELCOMMUNCATIONERS CODING MY CAR MOST RECENTLY STOP ON 7-13-2020 .THIS IS MY COMPLAINT FOR INVESTIGATION. MY TAG IS RTT0049.

RECENTLY I STARTED HAVING ISSUES WITH SHUDDERING WHILE DRIVING AT CERTAIN SPEEDS. FIRST AT 40MPH AND THEN MORE RECENTLY AT HIGHER SPEEDS. ALSO TODAY THE STABILTRACK WARNING LIGHT CAME ON STATING THAT IT REQUIRED SERVICE. RPM'S AND SPEEDOMETER ALSO WOULD FLUCTUATE WHILE DRIVING. THERE ARE MANY VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE THAT POINT TO THE THROTTLE BODY HAVING OIL BLOW BY THROUGH THE THROTTLE BODY AS THERE IS NO CHECK VALVE TO KEEP THIS FROM HAPPENING. I WILL BE CLEANING THE THROTTLE BODY TO SEE IF IT FIXES THE PROBLEM. I'VE ALSO SEEN THAT THE BRAKE POSITION SENSOR COULD BE THE CULPRIT AS WELL. I REPLACED THE IGNITION COILS AFTER SEEING THE ENGINE FLUCTUATIONS, BUT DID NOT REPLACE THE SPARKS PLUGS AS THEY WERE RECENTLY REPLACED UNDER 6K MILES AGO. THIS SEEMS TO BE A LONG STANDING AND WIDE DISPERSED ISSUE WITH THIS YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL OF VEHICLE. MANY HAVE SEEN THE POWER DROP WHILE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND THIS BUG COULD CAUSE THE MASS DAMAGE OF A TRANSMISSION IF THE VEHICLE WERE TO AUTOMATICALLY DOWNSHIFT WHILE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, ESPECIALLY IF IT WERE TO DROP TO 2ND GEAR FROM 5TH OR 6TH ON AUTOMATIC DRIVE. I BOUGHT THIS TRAVERSE USED WITH ONLY 7,000 MILES. AFTER ABOUT A YEAR, THE RADIO AND SCREEN WOULD NOT TURN OFF AFTER TURNING THE CAR OFF AND OPENING THE DOOR. IT WOULD REMAIN ON EVEN AFTER TURNING THE IGNITION ON AND OFF OR OPENING THE DRIVERS DOOR SEVERAL TIMES. THE FRONT PASSENGER WINDOW DOES NOT GO DOWN USING THE DRIVER SIDE CONTROLS, DESPITE MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO FIX IT. I HAVE LEARNED TO LIVE WITH THE ISSUES WHEN RECENTLY ADDITION PROBLEMS HAVE APPEARED. FOR SOME REASON IT FEELS LIKE I AM DRIVING WITH THE EMERGENCY BRAKE ENGAGED OR PULLING A HEAVY TRAILER. MOST OF THE TIME I HAVE TO PRESS HARDER ON THE GAS JUST TO MAKE THE VEHICLE GO. AS A RESULT, THE GAS MILEAGE HAS DROPPED SIGNIFICANTLY. ALSO, SUDDENLY THE AIR CONDITIONER FOR THE DRIVER BLOWS ONLY WARM AIR WHILE ALL THE OTHER VENTS BLOW COLD. THERE IS A CONSTANT CLICKING SOUND BEHIND THE DASH AND I AM ABOUT TO REPLACE A SECOND ACTUATOR. FINALLY, THERE IS A LOUD NOISE FROM THE ENGINE LIKE IT IS STILL RUNNING AFTER IT IS TURNED OFF AND THE KEY IS OUT OF THE IGNITION. I HAVE TO TURN THE IGNITION ON AND OFF AGAIN FOR IT TO STOP. EVEN THEN, THE ENGINE FAN REMAINS ON, WHICH IT NEVER DID BEFORE. ALL THESE STARTED JUST AS IT WAS ABOUT TO HIT 80,000 MILES.

GAS TANK DOES ACCURATELY SHOW HOW MUCH GAS I HAVE LEFT. THE FUEL GAUGE CONSTANTLY FLUCTUATES. I WAS DRIVING AND MY MILE RANGE SHOWED I HAD 54 MILES WORTH OF GAS LEFT. I MADE A STOP AND THE CAR WAS IDLING AND WHEN I GOT BACK IN THE CAR IT SHOWED I HAD 89 MILES WORTH OF GAS LEFT. WHEN I GOT TO MY DESTINATION I GOT THE LOW FUEL WARNING MESSAGE. I HAVE WATCHED MY FUEL GAUGE AND MILE RANGE GO UP INCREMENTALLY WHILE IN PARK. THIS ISSUE IS THE SAME ISSUE AS A RECALL WITH LATER MODELS AND IT CAN CAUSE A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT IF MY CAR STALLS OR SHUTS OFF BECAUSE THERE WAS NOT AS MUCH GAS IN THE CAR AS THE GAUGE STATES. NOT SURE I SHOULD DO THIS BUT IT HAS OCCURED 2 TIMES BOW. MY TRAVERSE ECCELERATOR GETS STUCK DOWN AND YOU CANT ATOP. THE ONLY WAY TO STOP IS PUT IN NUTRAL IF YOU HAVE THE TIME. I AM AFRAID TO HAVE MY WIFE DEIVE THIS. IT HAPPENED FOR THE 2ND TIME SINCE I HAVE OWNED IT THE OTHER DAY. THE BREAKS WONT WORM UNLESS YOU PUT IT INTO NUTRAL!!!

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE STOPPED ACCELERATING WHILE THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS BEING DEPRESSED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE PULLED OVER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.

WE BOUGHT THE 2011 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE USED WITH 99,000 MILES ON IT. WE NOTICED THAT ON THE CAR FAX, OTHER THAN JUST ROUTINE MAINTENANCE, THE CAR HAD ITS FUEL TANK REPLACED. WE QUESTIONED IT, BUT DID NOT THINK WE WOULD HAVE PROBLEMS, AS THE CAR WAS WELL TAKEN CARE OF. EVERY SINCE WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE, WHEN WE FILL UP THE CAR, IT DOES NOT REGISTER ON THE FUEL GAUGE CORRECTLY, IF IT REGISTERS AT ALL. WE CANNOT TAKE LONG TRIPS IN THE CAR WITHOUT HAVING TO STOP EVERY SO OFTEN AND PUT GAS IN IT, AS WE DONT KNOW HOW MUCH IS IN THERE AT ANY GIVEN TIME. THIS IS A MAJOR CONCERN TO US. I SEE THAT THERE IS A RECALL FOR THE 2014 VEHICLES, BUT I ALSO SEE THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED ALOT WITH THE 2011 TRAVERSE'S, BUT NO RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED. I AM HOPING WITH THIS ADDITIONAL COMPLAINT AND ONGOING PROBLEM, THAT SOMETHING WILL BE DONE BEFORE SOMEONE GETS SERIOUSLY HURT, IF THEY HAVENT ALREADY. I DO NOT KNOW WHO THE PREVIOUS OWNER OF MY VEHICLE WAS, BUT THEY OBVIOUSLY HAD THE SAME PROBLEM, HENSE REPLACING THE FUEL TANK. CHEVY, PLEASE ISSUE A RECALL FOR THIS.

I WAS TRAVELING TO WORK THIS MORNING (2/18/15) ON A MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY AND SUDDENLY POWER WAS REDUCED DRAMATICALLY ON MY 2011 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. I IMMEDIATELY LOOKED AT MY DIC AND NOTICED THE FOLLOWING READINGS LISTED: "SERVICE STABLE TRACK", "ENGINE POWER REDUCED", "TRACTION CONTROL OFF", "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL". ALSO, MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AS WELL. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER TO THE SHOULDER OF THE HIGHWAY BUT MY MAXIMUM SPEED WAS ONLY 15 MPH. I STOPPED ON THE SHOULDER OF THE HIGHWAY AND PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND THEN PUT BACK IN DRIVE. I WENT BACK IN TO TRAFFIC BUT MY MAXIMUM SPEED WAS ONLY 40 MPH. AFTER ARRIVING AT MY OFFICE, I NOTICED THE ENGINE APPEARED TO NOT BEING RUNNING PROPERLY, AS IF IT WASN'T GETTING THE RIGHT FUEL/OXYGEN MIXTURE. I CALLED THE GM DEALERSHIP TO INFORM THEM OF THE PROBLEMS AND TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THEM FOR TESTING. THEY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AS NEEDING TO REPLACE THE THROTTLE BODY AND THE PART WOULD NOT BE IN UNTIL TOMORROW. I WILL BE PICKING THE VEHICLE UP TOMORROW AFTER THE REPAIR AND I HOPE THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN AGAIN BECAUSE IF MY WIFE OR SON HAD BEEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE, IT MAY HAVE RESULTED IN AN ACCIDENT ON THE HIGHWAY. THIS IS SOMETHING THAT SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN IN A VEHICLE, THE CHANCE OF AN ACCIDENT ON A BUSY INTERSTATE OR HIGHWAY IS VERY LIKELY WHEN YOUR SPEED IN REDUCED DRAMATICALLY. *TR
