TRUCK HAS 600+ MILES CURRENT. FOUND OTHER RAM OWNERS ON 5THGENRAMS.COM FORUMS STATING THEY ARE EXPERIENCING SAME ISSUE, SO I AM CONCERNED. THIS HAPPENED ONCE, BUT OTHERS ARE SAYING IT HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES TO THEM.

PURCHASED 2020 RAM LIMITED ON JULY 14, 2020. MSRP WAS $70,355. ON JULY 16 WAS TRAVELING ON I-15 WHEN ALL TRAFFIC WAS STOPPED IN FRONT OF ME. I WAS TRAVELING OVER 70 MPH. I APPLIED BRAKES AND NOTHING, DIDN'T EVEN SLOW ME DOWN. TO AVOID COLLIDING WITH ANY OF THE STOPPED CARS I LEFT THE ROADWAY AND DROVE ONTO THE SHOULDER AND INTO THE BAR DITCH. TOOK ME APPROX HALF MILE TO GET STOPPED. STOPPED BY GOING UP AN EXIT. WHEN I FINALLY STOPPED, I WAS TERRIFIED. I CHECKED BRAKE PEDAL FOR OBSTRUCTION AND IT WAS CLEAR. BEING AN AVERAGE COMMON CITIZEN, NO MATTER NEW OR USED VEHICLE, WE EXPECT THE VEHICLE TO STOP WHEN WE PUSH ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. WHEN IT DOES NOT IT IS TERRIFYING. VEHICLE HAD APPROX 500 MILES AT THE TIME. OVER $1700 DAMAGE TO MY NEW TRUCK. FORWARD TO DECEMBER 29, 2020: WENT TO MY LOCAL POST OFFICE, PULLED INTO PARKING SPACE, AGAIN, NO BRAKES. HOWEVER WAS GOING VERY SLOW (5 MPH OR LESS. CRASHED STRAIGHT INTO BRICK BUILDING. ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSE FROM BRAKES NOR DID THE "AUTO STOP" ENGAGE. OVER $5000 DAMAGE TO TRUCK AND $???? DAMAGE TO BUILDING. FORWARD TO JAN 1, 2021: PULLED INTO PARKING LOT, TRIED STOPPING, AGAIN NO BRAKES. AS IT WAS A HOLIDAY AND THE EVENING, NOT MANY CARS IN PARKING LOT. WAS ABLE TO STOP WITH AID OF PARKING BRAKE. HAS BEEN TO LOCAL DEALER, I TOLD THEM TO KEEP IT AS LONG AS NEEDED AND DRIVE AS MUCH AS NEEDED. THEY KEPT IT FOR ONE WEEK, SAID NO CODES ON COMPUTER, DROVE 8 MILES SAID NOTHING WRONG. HAVE NOT DRIVEN FOR 2 MONTHS (SCARES ME). AWAITING ANOTHER DEALER (NEXT CLOSEST 250 MILES AWAY) TO PICK IT UP TO CHECK IT OUT SOME MORE. VEHICLE NOW HAS LESS THAN 4000 MILES. ABSOLUTELY NO SUPPORT OR HELP FROM RAM. BEEN FIGHTING WITH THEM FOR 2 MONTHS. HAVE GOTTEN NOWHERE! I'M NOT A ROOKIE, HAVE BOUGHT AND OWNED BETWEEN 75-100 CARS IN MY LIFE. NEVER A PROBLEM WITH A DEALER OR A MANUFACTURER, UNTIL NOW!!! MESSAGES ON DASHBOARD READ "BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURE" "62 MAX SPEED ESC, SERVICE ESC, SERVICE TRAILER BREAK SYSTEM, AND FORWARD COLLISION SYSTEM UNAVAILABLE." ABS, ESC AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ALL ILLUMINATED ON DASH SCREEN.

I WAS DRIVING ON I-15 BETWEEN CEDAR CITY, UT AND ST GEORGE, UT. DRIVING APPROX 75MPH WHEN SUDDENLY TRAFFIC WAS STOPPED IN FRONT OF ME IN BOTH LANES. APPLIED BRAKES WITH ABSOLUTELY NO RESULTS. DROVE OFF OF PAVED PORTION OF HIGHWAY TO AVOID HITTING STOPPED CARS. VEHICLE HAD LESS THAN 500 MILES ON IT AND I HAD OWNED IT FOR 3 DAYS. FINALLY GOT VEHICLE STOPPED APPROX 3/4 MILE DOWN THE ROAD. APPROX $1700 DAMAGE TO VEHICLE. APPROX 5 MONTHS LATER I PULLED INTO U.S POST OFFICE TO PARK. BRAKES AGAIN FAILED AND I HIT BRICK BUILDING AT APPROX 5MPH OR LESS. APPROX $5000 DAMAGE TO VEHICLE AND UNCERTAIN OF DOLLAR DAMAGE TO P.O. BUILDING. THREE DAYS LATER I PULLED INTO MA PARKING LOT, BRAKES FAILED AGAIN. I WAS ABLE TO AVOID ANY PARKED CARS, MAINLY BECAUSE PARKING LOT WAS ALMOST EMPTY. I WAS ABLE TO USE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP IT. THE FOLLOWING MONDAY I TOOK IT TO STEPHEN WADE DEALERSHIP. THEY HAD IT FOR 5 DAYS, CHECKED FOR CODES, DROVE IT APPROX 8 MILES AND TOLD ME TO COME GET IT. THEY COULD FIND NOTHING. FACTORY CUSTOMER CARE TOLD ME TO TAKE IT BACK TO DEALERSHIP. CALLED FOR APPT AND WAS INFORMED THAT DUE TO SAFETY PROBLEM AND ACCIDENT, THEY WOULD NOT TOUCH IT. CALLED RAM CUSTOMER CARE BACK, TOLD THEM DEALERSHIP REFUSED TO LOOK AT IT. CUSTOMER CARE SAID TO TAKE TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP. NEXT CLOSEST DEALERSHIP IS OVER 120 MILES AWAY. THEY SAID DEALERSHIP HAS RIGHT TO REFUSE TO WORK ON IT AND THEN TOLD ME THAT RAM FACTORY TECH GAVE ORDERS NOT TO TOUCH IT. NOW I HAVE A RAM TRUCK WITH BRAKE PROBLEMS THAT NEITHER LOCAL DEALERSHIP OR FACTORY TECH WILL ACCEPT TO WORK ON. I HAVE A $70,000 MSRP, 5,400 LB "PAPER WEIGHT". NO HELP FROM FACTORY. TOOK DELIVERY OF VEHICLE ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 29TH, 2021. WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM PLYMOUTH, MA TO CONCORD, NH, I WAS USING THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL. I WAS TRAVELING BETWEEN 65MPH AND 70MPH. ROADS WERE COMPLETELY DRY, THERE WERE NO OTHER CARS NEAR ME, AND THERE WERE NO OBSTACLES IN FRONT OF ME. I WAS TRAVELING IN THE MIDDLE LANE OF A THREE LANE HIGHWAY. OUT OF NOWHERE, THE BRAKES WERE FORCEFULLY APPLIED BY THE COMPUTER WHICH NEARLY BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO A STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSTATE. AFTER REACHING MY DESTINATION I NOTICED THAT THE CAMERA IN THE DRIVER SIDE MIRROR WAS NOT FUNCTIONING. CONTACTED DEALER THE FOLLOWING DAY AND RETURNED BACK TO DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THE VEHICLE REPAIRED (NEARLY 2 HOUR DRIVE). DEALER STATED THAT THE ISSUE WITH THE CAMERA AND THE ISSUE WITH THE AUTOMATIC BRAKING WERE RELATED. PICKED VEHICLE UP ON FEBRUARY 8TH AFTER VEHICLE WAS SUPPOSEDLY FIXED. ARRIVED HOME AND DISCOVERED SAME ISSUE WITH CAMERA NOT FUNCTIONING. TOOK TO DEALER IN CONCORD, NH TO TRY TO REPAIR AGAIN ON 2/15/21 AND PICKED UP ON SAME DAY. DEALER FOUND LOOSE PIN IN CONNECTOR. DEALER STATED THAT THE CAMERA HAD BEEN REPLACED IN OCTOBER 2020 BEFORE I EVEN OWNED THE VEHICLE, SO SOMEONE KNEW THIS WAS AN ISSUE. TOOK VEHICLE ON A DRIVE ON 2/17/21. ALERT ON DASH NOW SAYS 'SERVICE DRIVER ASSIST SYSTEM.' I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE AND MY WIFE DOES NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE DRIVING IT OR LETTING OUR TWIN 3 YEAR OLD BOYS RIDE IN IT. I HAVE A CASE OPEN WITH GENERAL MOTORS ON THIS BUT THEY HAVE DECLINED TO HELP WITH EXCHANGING THE VEHICLE. I'M THANKFUL THAT NOBODY WAS RIDING WITH ME AND THAT NO CARS WERE AROUND AND THAT IT WAS NOT SLICK WHEN THE BRAKING INCIDENT OCCURRED BECAUSE IT CERTAINLY WOULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. I'M HAVING A SEVERE PROBLEMS WITH THE EXTREMELY LARGE SIDE MIRRORS CAUSING A BLIND SPOT WITH CROSSING TRAFFIC. I BELIEVE I'M A VERY CAREFUL DRIVER TO AVOID ACCIDENTS, SO A COUPLE DAYS AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE, I CAME TO AN INTERSECTION AND STOPPED TO MAKE SURE THERE WAS NO CROSSING TRAFFIC BEFORE DRIVING THROUGH. AS I BEGAN TO GO THROUGH THE INTERSECTION, I NEARLY PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF A CROSSING VEHICLE, A VEHICLE THAT WAS NO WHERE IN VIEW WHEN I STARTED TO GO THROUGH THE INTERSECTION. I WAS THINKING TO MYSELF WHERE DID THAT VEHICLE COME FROM? A FEW DAYS LATER I NEARLY DID THE SAME THING AGAIN, AND I REALIZED I WASN'T DOING ANYTHING WRONG, THAT IT WAS THAT HUGE SIDE MIRROR CREATING SUCH A HUGE BLOND SPOT THAT WHEN THE CROSSING VEHICLE IS AT A CERTAIN POINT THE MIRROR TOTALLY BLOCKS THE VIEW OF THAT VEHICLE. I AM REALLY WORRIED ABOUT HAVING AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF THIS LARGE MIRROR. I'M CONSIDERING GOING BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP TO SEE IF THE TRUCK CAN BE FITTED WITH A SMALLER MIRROR, BUT THERE IS PROBABLY A HUGE COST TO THE CUSTOMER. THERE MUST BE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WITH THIS TRUCK HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. I DON'T THINK THAT I HAVE EVER COMPLAINED TO THENHTSA , BUT THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND I'M WORRIED.

THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE IN REVERSE, THE BACK-UP CAMERA WAS INOPERABLE. ADDITIONALLY, WHILE DRIVING, THE AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM ACTIVATED INADVERTENTLY CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO STOP WITHOUT ANOTHER VEHICLE OR OBJECT BEING NEARBY. THE BLIND SPOT MONITORING SYSTEM WOULD FAILED INTERMITTENTLY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE REVERSING THE VEHICLE WITH THE DOOR OPENED, THE SAFETY FEATURE WOULD NOT STOP THE VEHICLE AND THE AUTO PARKING FEATURE WOULD NOT PROPERLY PARK THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER LENOIR CITY CHRYSLER LOCATED AT 1206 E BROADWAY ST, LENOIR CITY, TN 37772 WHO REPLACED THE INFOTAINMENT CENTER AND UPDATED THE SOFTWARE HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100.*DT CONSUMER STATED THIS IS THE SECOND TIME IT HAS RECURRED.*JB

IN MAY I PURCHASES A 2020 SILVERADO. ON DECEMBER 05TH, 2020. I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE HEADING HOME FROM MY SON'S FOOTBALL GAME . THE "SERVICE BRAKE SYSTEM" MESSAGE DISPLAYED ON THE VEHICLE'S DASHBOARD. BRAKING BECAME SLUGGISH AND STIFF. I INITIAL THOUGHT THE BRAKE FLUID HAD HAD LEAKED OUT. THE VEHICLE MAINTAINED POWER TO ALL OTHER SYSTEMS. ONCE HOME I CHECKED THE ENGINE BAY AND BRAKE CALIBERS AND FOUND THEM TO BE INTACT. AT THIS TIME THE VEHICLE HAS 12,400 MILES. AFTER A INITIAL ASSESSMENT, WAS INFORMED THAT IT WAS DETERMINED TO BE A "COMPUTER GLITCH" THAT WAS EFFECTING THE TRANSMISSION AND BRAKE SENSORS. THE BRAKE MODULE WAS REPLACED AND TRANSMISSION "SOFTWARE" WAS UPDATED. THIS WAS COMPLETED ON DECEMBER 09TH, 2020. UPON COMPLETION THE TECHS CONDUCTING A "DRIVE TEST", AT WHICH TIME THE WARNING APPEARED AGAIN. MY VEHICLE REMAINS AT THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT, WHILE THEY "TROUBLESHOOT" THE PROBLEM. DUE TO THE VAGUE RESPONSES BEING PROVIDED BY THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE STAFF AND THE LACK OF AN ESTIMATED TIME LINE FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE REPAIRS. I BELIEVE THERE IS A MUCH LARGER ISSUE THAT THEY DON'T WANT TO REVEAL.
