VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WHILST TURNING AT AT A JUNCTION. BACK END OF THE VEHICLE SWUNG OUT OF THE TURN AS IF ON ICE. STOPPED THE VEHICLE AND DISCOVERED THAT THE REAR RIGHT-HAND WHEEL WAS BENT AS IF THE WHEEL WAS FALLING OFF. ON FURTHER INSPECTION I DISCOVERED THE REAR SUBFRAME HAD BROKEN UP.

MY TROUBLE BEGAN AS I SAT AND FUELED MY CAR WITH THE SAME TYPE OF GAS THAT I HAVE BEEN USING FOR YEARS. I FILLED MY TANK, STARTED MY CAR AND IT STARTED HUFFING AND PUFFING AS IF IT WAS ABOUT TO SHUT OFF. AFTER A FEW MINUTES IT STOPPED. A FEW DAYS LATER WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD ONE DAY I HEARD THIS LOUD RATTLING NOISE AS IF A CHAIN OR SOMETHING WAS DRAGGING THE GROUND OR BEING RATTLED. I APPROACHED A RED LIGHT AND LOWERED MY RADIO TO LISTEN AND AS I SAT IDLE IN DRIVE I COULD HEAR THIS RATTLING NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT END OF MY CAR. AS I DROVE DOWN THE ROAD FURTHER IT CONTINUED THEN STOPPED. I THEN PARKED MY CAR AND AS I WAS IN REVERSE THE SOUND CAME BACK. I WENT ON ABOUT MY DAY AND RETURNED TO MY CAR TO START IT UP AND AS I STARTED IT I HEARD THE RATTLING LOUD NOISE AGAIN. I BACKED OUT OF MY PARKING SPOT AND IT CONTINUED. AS I DRIVING AROUND AT A SPEED OF ABOUT 30-40 I COULD HEAR THE NOISE COME AND GO. I TOOK MY CAR TO NISSAN AND THEY TOLD ME THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG. THEY TOLD ME EVERYTHING UNDER THE HOOD OF MY CAR WAS FINE. A FEW DAYS LATER I BROUGHT MY CAR BACK TO NISSAN INFORMING THEM THE NOISE IS CONTINUING AND MY CAR SHAKES AND JERKS. I LEFT MY CAR AND THEY CALLED AND SAID MY ALTERNATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. JUST A COUPLE DAYS PRIOR THEY SAID EVERYTHING WAS FINE SO NOW I'M CONFUSED. I TOOK MY CAR TO 3 SEPARATE AUTO SHOPS AND HAD THEM TEST MY ALTERNATOR AND ALL 3 SAID MY ALTERNATOR, BATTERY AND STARTER WERE WORKING PERFECTLY. I BEGAN TO RESEARCH ONLINE TO SEE IF ANYONE HAD THE SAME ISSUES I HAVE AND THERE IT WAS. A RECALL FOR THE TRANSVERSE LINK BOLT. I'M PISSED THAT NISSAN WOULD TRY TO RIP OF A CUSTOMER LIKE THAT. *TR

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: THIS PARTICULAR INCIDENT DATE WAS ON 8/7/14 BUT ALSO REPORTED 8/23/14 & 9/30/14 AT TWO NISSAN DEALERSHIPS. I WAS DRIVING AT 65MPH FOR 1 HOUR ON THE HIGHWAY AND FELT A LOSS OF CONTROL. THE STEERING WHEEL ABRUPTLY TURNED RIGHT, I HAD TO ATTEMPT TO KEEP THE VEHICLE WITHIN THE LANE AND SLOWLY DECELERATED TO A STOP ON THE ROADSIDE WITHOUT IMMEDIATE BRAKING. WHILE BRAKING AT 15-20MPH I APPLIED THE BRAKE WHICH JERKED THE ENTIRE CAR TO THE RIGHT, SUSPENSION WAS STIFF ON PASSENGER FRONT STRUT. THE CAR HAD BARELY 70000 MILES, HAD BEEN UP TO DATE ON SERVICES, WAS TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE STEERING INCIDENT. 8/23/14 THE CAR EXPERIENCED A SUDDEN LOSS OF STEERING WITH A "DRAGGING" FEEL AND NEARLY HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE, CAR SEEMED TO "FLOAT" AND COULD NOT FIND A "STRAIGHT" LINE, EITHER IT TURNED SLIGHTLY LEFT OR SUDDEN RIGHT. THIS WAS INCREDIBLY CONCERNING AND I FELT IT WAS NO LONGER SAFE TO DRIVE. DEALERSHIP COULD NOT DUPLICATE, TOLD TO INSTALL BRAKE BOOSTER. 9/30/14 UNABLE TO OPERATE THE VEHICLE, UPON START IT WOULD "KNOCK" WHEN PUT INTO GEAR, GRINDING NOISE TO THE PASSENGER FRONT SIDE, TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL RIGHT IF COASTING AT 5MPH. DEALER COULD NOT DUPLICATE ON A TEST DRIVE BUT ADVISED A NEW STEERING RACK, A DIAGNOSIS TO A PROBLEM THAT WAS NOT SEEN IN THE SHOP. ALMOST EVERY TIME THE CAR HAS BEEN RUNNING FOR LONGER THAN AN HOUR OR AT HIGHWAY SPEED I HAVE LOST STEERING CONTROL. I HAVE HAD MY WIFE WITH ME ON TWO EVENTS, THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND DANGEROUS, I WILL BE TOWING THE CAR FROM THE DEALERSHIP AS I FEEL IT IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT WHEN IT RAINED, THE VEHICLE WOULD EXHIBIT A LOUD GRINDING NOISE FROM THE PASSENGER'S SIDE FRONT END. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE ROTORS AND THE SHOCKS HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 19,425. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

HEADLINER WAS MADE INCORRECT FOR ALL 2012 MODELS AND NISSAN IS AWARE AND REFUSES TO ISSUE A RECALL. WE HAVE TWO OF THE SAME YEAR ALTIMA PURCHASED ON THE SAME DATE. ALSO THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE SUSPENSION STILL AND WHEN I TURN TO LEFT IT MAKES A POPPING SOUND. WENT IN TO GET OIL CHANGED AND WAS TOLD I HAD AN OIL LEAK THAT WAS GOING BACK INTO MY ENGINE AND BLEW ONE OF MY CYLINDERS AND TORE AN O-RING SO HAD TO HAVE THAT REPLACED. ALSO SOMETHING WRONG WITH REAR DEFROSTER THAT REQUIRED BACK WINDSHIELD TO BE REPLACED. HORRIBLE CONTROL ISSUES WHEN GOING OVER 50 MPH. ALSO SUNROOF REPAIRED SEVERAL TIMES DUE TO REPEATEDLY BREAKING ON THE TRACK PIECE. THIS CAR AS VERY POORLY MADE AND NISSAN WILL NOT OWN UP TO THEIR MISTAKES. ALSO BREAKS SQUEAK NON STOP AND GRIND AND HAVE SINCE CARS WERE PURCHASED, NISSAN INFORMED US THIS WAS NORMAL SINCE THEY HAVE METAL BREAK PADS ON THE 2012 MODELS. IF I COULD GIVE CARS BACK I WOULD IN A HEARTBEAT. HUGE LEMONS ON THE 2012 HENCE THE ENTIRE REMAKE OF THE 2013'S, THEY KNEW THEY MESSED UP. *TR

I WAS DRIVING NORMAL SPEED LIMIT 60 MPH ON THE FWY WHEN WE HEARD A NOISE LIKE A BIG POP SOUND. WE DID NOT HIT ANYTHING AT THE TIME OR EVEN BEFORE THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED, ALL PARTS ON THE CAR WAS BRAND NEW.
