UPON FILLING UP THE FUEL TANK, THE FUEL INDICATOR READS EMPTY. AFTER 30-40 MILES OF DRIVING, THE FUEL INDICATOR RETURNS TO NORMAL. AT ROUGHLY 1/4 TANK REMAINING ON THE INDICATOR, THE VEHICLE TOOK 14.7 GALLONS OF GAS, WHICH MEANS IT WAS NEARLY EMPTY. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM THAT NISSAN CLAIMS DOES NOT AFFECT THIS VEHICLE, AS IDENTIFIED BY THE VIN REPORTED ABOVE. CLEARLY THIS IS THE ISSUE ADDRESSED BY CAMPAINGN ID PC 042/NHTSA # 10V-075. NISSAN DENIES THIS.

BOCH NISSAN SOUTH ( FORMERLY NISSAN VILLAGE)SOLD ME A TRUCK ON MARCH 30, 2013 WHERE THEY ROLLED BACK THE ODOMETER & FAILED TO MENTION 2 SERIOUS ACCIDENTS IN 2011 PRIOR TO MY PURCHASE MARCH 2013. I BELIEVE WE WERE SHOWN A DIFFERENT CAR FAX I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE SALESMAN'S WIFE'S TRUCK THAT SHE HAD JUST TRADED IN. I HAVE HAD VERY SERIOUS ISSUES THAT MADE NO SINCE FOR A TRUCK THAT HAD BEEN BABYED BY ME . COMPLETE ENIGEN FIRE IN FEBUARY NUREMOUS OIL LEAKS & RADIATOR MIXING WITH THE COOLANT OIL PAST 10 MONTHS. I BROUGHT IT INTO TO NISSIAN BOCH SOUTH OF NORTH ATTLEBORO IN APRIL THEY ACCUSED ME OF ROLLING BACK THE ODOMETER. I WAS HORRIFIED TOLD THEM YOU GUYS SOLD ME THIS TRUCK. I WENT HOME AND ORDERED A CARFAX AND IT CLEARLY HAPPENED AT THE DEALERSHIP WHEN IT WENT IN FOR REPAIRS ON 2 ACCIDENTS THAT I WAS NOT AWARE OF! BOCH NISSIAN THINKS IT'S NO BIG DEAL MY 17 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING THIS TRUCK SHE COULD HAVE BEEN IN THE FIRE AND AS A NEW DRIVER MAY HAVE PANICKED AND GOTTEN INTO A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. I WAS DRIVING ON RT 1 NORTH ATTLEBORO IN FEBRUARY I HAD JUST HAD THE VALVE GASKET REPLACED . I WAS DRIVING ALL OF A SUDDEN LOST ALL POWER BLANK DASH SAW A TON OF SMOKE COMING OUT OF THE ENGINE. I JUMPED OUT AFTER ROLLING TO THE SIDE OF ROUTE 1 BY THE TIME THE TOW TRUCK CAME IT WAS SIMMERING. IT TOOK OVER TWO WEEKS TO REPAIR WIRING AT PATRIOT ELECTRICAL IN PAWTUCKET RI NEW ALTERNATOR , GASKET COVER REPLACED AGAIN. I THOUGHT WE WERE BUYING A TRUCK WITH 58,000 MILES WHEN IN REALTY IT WAS ALMOST 90, 000 OR MORE DEPENDING ON FAR THEY ROLLED IT IT WAS 70,000 PRIOR TO MY PURCHASE WHEN THE 1ST ACCIDENT HAPPENED WITH THE SALESMAN'S WIFE.

WAS DRIVING XTERRA 4X4 ON THE STREET WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE VEHICLE SHUT ITSELF OFF. WAS ABLE TO LUCKILY TURN THE VEHICLE BACK ON BUT WHEN WE ARRIVED HOME THE VEHICLE WOULD NO LONGER START. HAD IT TOWED TO NISSAN WHO DISCOVERED THE CAR HAS A DEFECTIVE ECM UNIT. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN VERY VERY DANGEROUS AND I BELIEVE MANY OTHER NISSAN XTERRA/FRONTIERS/PATHFINDERS HAVE BEEN AFFECTED AS EVIDENT BY SEARCHING GOOGLE REGARDING THIS ISSUE. NISSAN WOULD NOT REPAIR THE VEHICLE FREE OF CHARGE AND WANTED 1400 DOLLARS TO REPLACE ECM. THIS DAY AND AGE AN ECM SHOULD LAST MUCH MUCH LONGER AND SHOULD NOT SHUT DOWN THE VEHICLE NOR, IMPAIR ITS ABILITY TO DRIVE. *TR

GAS GAUGE DOES NOT WORK AND THE SES LIGHT STAYS ON. I DID RESEARCH THAT TURNED UP THAT THE 2006 AND 2008 MODELS ARE EFFECTED BY A RECALL FOR THE GAS TANK COLLAPSING AND CRUSHING THE LEVEL SENSOR. THIS IS POTENTIALLY THE EXACT SITUATION THAT I AM SEEING WITH THE 2007 MODEL AND ITS HARD TO BELIEVE THE DESIGN CHANGED, THEN CHANGED BACK TO THE FAULTY DESIGN OVER THE THREE YEARS WITH OUT THE RECALL BEING ISSUE UNTIL 3/22/11. SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING ON RESIDENTIAL STREETS. HAD CODE CHECKED. CODE LISTED AS P0462. CLEARED CODE THEN RESTARTED CAR. UPON STARTING CAR NONE OF THE GAUGES WORKED ONLY THE TACHOMETER AND SPEEDOMETER WORKED. FUEL, TEMPERATURE, OIL, ODOMETER, TRIP ODOMETER AND ALL WARNING LIGHTS TO INCLUDE TURN SIGNAL INDICATORS DID NOT WORK. UPON DRIVING GAUGES WOULD REGAIN POWER, BUT THE FUEL GAUGE DID NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER. SEEMS THAT MY VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL # 10V075000, EVEN THOUGH THE EXACT RECALL REPAIR WAS DONE TO MY CAR TO FIX THIS ISSUE. WHILE THE FUEL GAUGE NOW WORKS, NONE OF MY OTHER GAUGES WORK. I WAS TOLD THE COMBO METER THAT CONTROLS MY CLUSTER OF GAUGES WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THERE WERE NO ISSUES WITH MY VEHICLE UNTIL THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT CAME ON. MY VEHICLE SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN THE RECALL STATED ABOVE, AND I FIND IT HIGHLY SUSPECT THAT ALL OF MY GAUGES GO OUT AT THE EXACT SAME TIME, BUT ACCORDING TO NISSAN THESE ARE TWO SEPARATE UNRELATED ISSUES. I HAVE HAD TO PAY $488 TO REPAIR WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED UNDER THE RECALL, AND NOW NEED TO PAY AN ADDITIONAL $590 TO REPAIR MY GAUGES. MY VEHICLE SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED IN THE RECALL FOR OTHER 08 NISSAN XTERRAS. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN XTERRA. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH WHEN THE HORN WAS ENGAGED AND IT FAILED TO RESPOND. THE CONTACT STATED THE HORN WOULD ENGAGE WHEN TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL EITHER LEFT OR RIGHT. WE PURCHASED A NEW 2009 NISSAN XTERRA ON JUNE 5, 2009. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE, THE FOLLOWING DASHBOARD WARNING LIGHTS COME ON FOR NO KNOWN REASON: BRAKE, ABS, SLIP, TIRE SENSOR & VDC. ODOMETER FAILS TO OPERATE, MILEAGE NEEDLE RETURNS TO THE START POSITION AND DOES NOT SHOW SPEED, AND FAILS TO REGISTER MILES COVERED WHEN THE ODOMETER FAILS. CRUISE CONTROL FAILS TO OPERATE. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT OF THE DEALERSHIP ON 5 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT IN FOR ELECTRONIC FAILURE WITH THE FOLLOWING ODOMETER READINGS AND DATES: 849 ON 6/22/2009, 1374 ON 7/7/2009, 4082 ON 8/10/2009, 8123 ON 11/9/2009 AND 8247 ON 11/24/2009. THE FOLLOWING REPAIRS WERE MADE: REPLACED ABS ACTUATOR, REPLACED ODOMETER, REPLACED ELECTRICAL HARNESS AND REPLACED ELECTRONIC COMPUTER MODULE. ON THE LAST OCCASION, THE VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT IN WITH DASHBOARD WARNING LIGHTS ON. SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT THE DEALERSHIP IS UNABLE TO IDENTIFY OR FIX THE PROBLEM AND INSTRUCTED US TO PICK UP THE VEHICLE WITHOUT PROVIDING ANY SERVICE OR REPAIR. THE WARNING LIGHTS AND FAILURE OF OPERATING SYSTEMS MAKE THIS VEHICLE UNSAFE TO OPERATE. THE WARNING LIGHTS ARE AN INDICATION OF THE FAILURE OF BRAKES & TIRE SENSORS.
