BEEN HAVING ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS SINCE WE GOT THE CAR. YEAR 3 WE NEEDED NEW STARTER, NEW BACK UP CAMERA. THIS YEAR DRIVER'S WINDOW WOULD WORK ONLY WORK SOME OF THE TIME. IN JUNE WHEN I STARTED ALL THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS CAME ON WITH ABS SYSTEM POWER FAILURE WARNING. IT WOULD GO ON AND OFF AS I DROVE. THEN THE CAR STARTED JERKING AS IT WAS DRIVEN AND FINALLY STAYED ON AND WAS ON EVERYTIME WE STARTED. NEEDS A NEW MODULATOR-CONTROL UNIT WHICH IS $1,400 AND HAS BEEN BACKORDERED SINCE MID JUNE. HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO DRIVE CAR, AND I CAN'T RENEW REGISTRATION BECAUSE IT WON'T PASS VA SAFETY INSPECTION.

TO BEGIN WITH I'VE HAD TO CHANGE MY BATTERY ATLEAST 4 TIMES(ONE TIME IT EXPLODED WITH BATTERY ACID)IN THE LAST 2 YEARS. ALSO 6 DIFFERENT LIGHTS IN THE PANEL ARE ON(BRAKE/ABS/TIRE PRESSURE/A STEERING WHEEL WITH AN !/MAINTENANCE/POWER STEERING. I RECENTLY PURCHASED 4 NEW TIRES FROM FIRESTONE AND GOT THE CAR ALIGNED THE MECHANIC SAID HE TRIED TO RESET THE NOTIFICATION ON THE DASHBOARD BUT IT WOULDN'T TURN OFF. I ALSO HAD A FAMILY MECHANIC PUT IT UNDER THE COMPUTER WHICH DIAGNOSED AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE. ANOTHER ISSUE THE CAR IS HAVING IS IT SHORT CIRCUITS MY HEAD LIGHTS WHEN IT RAIN, WHICH MEANS I'M REPLACING THEM ALMOST MONTHLY. THE CAR TENDS TO SHAKE WHEN ITS STOPPED BUT ONLY IF THE AC IS ON. SO IN CONCLUSION AFTER READING THIS RECALL IN CREDIT KARMA I AM SURE MY CAR NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED

BODY: THE TENSION BAR DOES NOT OPEN THE CAR TRUNK LID ALL THE WAY WHICH MORE OFTEN DROPS DOWN AND HIT THE PERSON'S HEAD OR FACE WHO IS PUTTING STUFFS IN THE TRUNK ASSUMING IT IS FULLY OPEN ALL THE WAY. I DID GOT HIT TWICE BY THE CORNER AND EDGE OF THE TRUNK LID ON THE FOREHEAD AND LEFT TEMPLE. THE LATTER CAUSED BRUISE AND PAIN THAT TOOK ME A WEEK TO RECOVER. SHOULD CHANGE WEAK TENSION BAR TO STRONG GAS TUBE OPERATION. ENGINE: THE CAR VIBRATES AND RATTLES UPON PUTTING ON REVERSE GEAR EVEN AFTER AT LEAST A MINUTE WARMUP IN THE MORNING. THE DEALER SAID IT IS NORMAL FOR THIS TYPE OF CAR? THIS IS VERY EMBARRASSING FOR A NEWER CAR. I NEVER SEE THIS IN A TOYOTA CARS THAT I OWNED: SIENNA, AVALON... SEATS: DRIVER SEAT IS NOT WELL DESIGNED AND CAUSING AWKWARD AND UNCOMFORTABLE AND FATIGUE POSITION WHILE DRIVING. THERE IS INSUFFICIENCY OF SUPPORT FOR LUMBAR ARE ( THE CURRENT ONE IS TOO SOFT AND SITTING BACK SO THERE IS VIRTUALLY NO SUPPORT AT ALL). AGAIN TOYOTA CARS SEEM NOT HAVING THIS KIND OF PROBLEM. ALSO, THE DRIVER WINDOW IS NOT TALL ENOUGH THAT EVEN A 5'6" PERSON CAN BANG HIS HEAD TO THE TOP OF THE WINDOW WHEN GETTING UP AND OUT OF THE DRIVE SEAT. IT SHOULD BE 2" TALLER TO AVOID THIS PROBLEM. THEY SHOULD PUT CUSHION TO THE TOP EDGE AND SAFETY GRIP HANDLE AT THE MINIMUM. DRIVING CONDITION: THE CAR SEEMS TO WANDER WHEN RUNNING ON FREEWAY AT NORMAL SPEED.

I HAVE HONDA ACCORD WHITE EX-L SINCE 11/10/2012 WITH CURRENT MILEAGE OF 16,300. 1. RECENTLY, I WENT TO MY MECHANIC TO HAVE AIR PRESSURE CHECKED ON MY CAR, SINCE I WAS GOING FOR A LONG TRIP. WHILE, AIR PRESSURE WAS BEING CHECKED, I LEFT THE CAR ON IN ACCESSORY MODE FOR ABOUT 3 MINUTES. WHEN I WENT ON TO TURN THE CAR ON, IT WOULDN'T TURN ON. DASH BOARD LIGHTS, FLICKERED AT EVERY ATTEMPT, WHEN I TRIED TURNING ON THE CAR. MY MECHANIC CHECKED THE BATTERY, HE SAID, BATTERY IS DEAD. I HAD THE BATTERY REPLACED. ONCE BATTERY WAS REPLACED, MECHANIC CHECKED ALTERNATOR. HE STATED, ALTERNATOR IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. I TOLD HIM, I WILL TAKE THE CAR TO HONDA DEALER. THIS REMINDED ME, THAT SAME THING HAPPENED ON 7/4/2014, WHERE I HAD LEFT THE HAZARD LIGHTS ON AND RADIO ON AT THE SAME TIME IN POWER MODE FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES. I CALLED HONDA CARE, 1ST DRIVER, COULDN'T JUMP START MY CAR. 2ND DRIVER CAME, AND HE WAS ABLE TO JUMP START MY CAR. HE STATED BATTERY WAS FINE AT THAT TIME. HOWEVER, I JUST REALIZED, MY DRIVER SIDE WINDOW WAS TAKING LOT LONGER TO OPEN AND CLOSE THAN IT SHOULD. WITH NEW BATTERY, I WILL BRING CAR TO DEALER TO HAVE THE CAR CHECKED. ALSO, SINCE ABOVE INSTANCES, I TURN OFF MY HEADLIGHTS FROM AUTO MODE, AND ALSO INTERIOR LIGHTS FROM DIMMING OR TURNING OFF AUTOMATICALLY TO SAVE BATTERY FROM DRAINING. 2. SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR IN NOVEMBER 2013, I HAVE NOTICED THAT, I CAN HEAR FUEL MOVING IN THE FUEL TANK. IN MY OLD 2000 HONDA ACCORD, I NEVER HEARD SUCH A THING. 3. SINCE 2012, I HAVE GOTTEN ALIGNMENT DONE 3 TIMES, BUT I STILL FEEL THE VIBRATION THROUGH OUT MY CAR, AND CAR FEELS LIKE WOBBLING IN THE FRONT. 4. NOT HAPPY WITH MPG. IN CITY, I GET 9 TO 11 MPG. HIGHWAY, IT IS JUST ABOUT 32 TO 35 MPG AS ADVERTISED AND TESTED. 5. SOMETIMES, WHEN PUTTING ON THE DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT, IT GETS STUCK. I HAVE TO RETRACT IT AND THAN I AM ABLE TO SECURE IT IN SEAT BELT CLIP.

INACCURATE OIL LIFE REMINDER, SHOWING 70% LEFT AFTER 7,000 MI. USED TO SHOW 20% AFTER 5,000 WHEN I HAVE OIL CHANGED. DEALER SAYS ALL NORMAL, CALL HONDA IFI HAVE A PROBLEM. RADIO ON OFF PROBLEMS SINCE NEW. ALL OCCUR REGARDLESS OF VEHICLE LOCATION OR MOVING OR NOT.

THE ENGINE SEIZED JUST FROZE AND DIED. THIS WAS HAPPENING INTERMITTENTLY WHEN I WAS MAKING ANY KIND OF SHARP TURN. ON THE SECOND TO LAST OCCURRENCE 4/12/15 IT FAILED TO START AND WAS COMPLETELY DEAD WHEN I TURNED THE IGNITION KEY 5 TIMES. ON THE 6TH, IT MIRACULOUSLY STARTED. WHEN I WAS PULLING INTO THE DEALERSHIP THE FOLLOWING DAY TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT THE ENGINE SEIZED AGAIN AND IT WAS STUCK FOR A SCARY MOMENT. THE SERVICE DEPT IMMEDIATELY OPEN THE HOOD AND POINTED OUT*** A KNOWN COMMON MANUFACTURING FLAW NEAR THE BATTERY, WHERE THE BOLT FOR THE BATTERY RANDOMLY LOSES CONTACT WITH THE SOURCE. HE SHOWED ME WERE IT "WOBBLES OUT OF PLACE- SEIZING THE ENTIRE CAR COMPLETELY!! THIS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES WHEN I MADE UTURNS, TURNED CORNERS, AND PULLED IN OR OUT OF PARKING SPOTS. HOW COULD THIS POTENTIALLY DEADLY FLAW BE IGNORED??!! I WAS TERRIFIED! THE REAL HORROR IS THAT THIS VERY DEALERSHIP DID AN OIL CHANGE THE WEEK PRIOR AND NO ONE CORRECTED THIS PROBLEM!!! I BOUGHT THIS CAR BRAND NEW FROM THEM IN NOV. 2014.!!! THIS IS TRUE NEGLIGENCE. I AM FURIOUS. I HAD BROUGHT THE CAR IN TWICE PRIOR TO THIS TO HAVE THE CAR LOOKED OVER BECAUSE IT IS MY FOURTH NEW ACCORD, AND I NEW IT WAS NOT RIGHT WITHIN THE FIRST MONTH. PLEASE HELP. I HAD JUST LEFT THE DEALERSHIP AFTER THEY CLEARED A "FCW SYSTEM FAILED" MESSAGE AND I ENTERED THE INTERSTATE. WHILE TRAVELING IN THE LANE ADJACENT TO THE FAR LEFT AT A SPEED OF APPROXIMATELY 68 MPH, THE CAR VIOLENTLY JERKED, THE FCW SYSTEM FAILED MESSAGE RETURNED, ALL EMERGENCY ICONS WERE ILLUMINATED ON THE DASH, AND MY CAR LOST ACCELERATION IN TRAFFIC. DESPITE REPEATED ATTEMPTS TO ACCELERATE THE VEHICLE, THE ENGINE HAD NO RESPONSE AND WAS SITTING AT IDLE WHILE I DECELERATED IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE IT UNDERWENT 3 DAYS OF SERVICE FOR WHAT WAS DETERMINED TO BE A FAILED ACCELERATOR POSITION SENSOR. THE DAY AFTER PICKING THE CAR UP FROM THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT, THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN ON THE HIGHWAY AT APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH. THE CAR, WITHOUT SYMPTOMS OR WARNING, AGAIN VIOLENTLY JERKED, LOST ACCELERATION, AND DISPLAYED THE SAME SYSTEM FAILED MESSAGE. UPDATED 10-17-13 *BF WHEN THE CONSUMER READ THE INVOICE, IT STATED TECHNICIAN CHECKED AND FOUND DTC CODE P2135 TP SENSOR A/B INCORRECT VOLTAGE CORRELATION. THE TECHNICIAN RECALIBRATED THE TP SENSOR. THE THIRD TIME THE INCIDENT HAPPENED, THE CONSUMER WAS ABOUT TO MERGE ONTO THE HIGHWAY, WHEN SUDDENLY THE VEHICLE SCREECHED AND STARTED TO VIOLENTLY SHAKE ALL WHILE THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS LIT UP. THE VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY DECELERATED TO LESS THAN 20 MPH IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY. THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO THE DEALER, WHERE THE REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY.
